The Original G Men line-up formed in 1984. Gez and Darren teamed up again after gigging around Birmingham for a couple of years with Dying Cult. Stuart the bass player was present for the bands first recordings but was soon to leave and be replaced by Liberator and Russell was an up and coming young drummer.
Post punk came Rockabilly and psychobilly and the band were influenced by King Kurt, The Cramps and The Meteors.
The band played at all the main Birmingham venues doing two venues in one night frequently.
Twenty years on at a party at Cox's Yard Stratford Upon Avon the original line-up reform and set out to recreate the sounds and atmosphere of those raucous 80's nights.
Theres something a little different about this band, theyre extremely catchy with damned-esque melodies and a great live energy. An extremely fun band that you just cant help wanting to dance to!
