In the Shit

The band was formed way back in 97 and met in an upstairs function room of the Frog and Bucket pub in Newport, S.Wales., The first ITS lineup was born, came up with the band name and looked a little like this.

• Flid: Vocals
• Payney: Guitar
• Kip Xool: Drums
• Buffy: Bass

This line up went on to produce two classic 7"eps, Can't Take Anymore and The Fall of the Damned. The first ep CTAM, had a limited press of brown vinyl, with government issue toilet paper in, released on our own label ITS records which has since been sold out and deleted .The 2nd singleFall of the dammed was released after an offer from Mass Productions from France and Inflammable Material from the U K which also sold out very quickly .

After a good couple of years of touring the U K , and a few tours of France and Belgium , the band was to go through a couple of line up changes which saw us losing a member and gaining two new ones. We said goodbye to Kip and hello to Mike and later

Mike was thrown in at the deep end and after only three months of rehearsals went on to record the 'A Cancerous Society' album. Shortly after this we asked Pete, a long time supporter of the ITS cause to join. Good times came ahead and saw the band take on more tours in France and across the U K

At the start of the year 2002 long time bass player Buffy left the band due to work reasons with Pete having to leave shortly after due to transport problems and a demanding schedule with Icons of filth.

Fletch joined the band in jan 2002 as I T S reverted back to a 4 piece band and in March /April 2002 the band went on to tour Holland ,Germany,Czech Republic and Slovakia with huge success.

In July 2002 Mike decided to part company with the band to start a new life living in Leipzig,Germany which led to our newest recruit Jon to take over on drums as the band prepares for the much waited release of the new LP: A world of ….due to be recorded and released 2003 with the band back in live action Dec 2002, IN THE SHIT went through another change in Jan 2003 which was to see Mike the old drummer return and take up his place on the drums it was hard decision in general having to part with our latest recruit Jon though the band decided it was in our best interest to have our long term drummer back in action with us. The second lp recording is now set for MAY with the line up as follows

After the recording of world of ..which came out on cd and 12" lp In The shit played their 1st outdoor festival in Besancon , followed by another trip to Germany in Sept 2003 which seen our driver get arrested in Halle and the band go onto play with Provoked etc around Germany . In 2004 In The Shit were to see another change in personnel with long time vocalist Flid leaving the Band in March , this lead to a change around with Mark coming in to play bass and Fletch the current Bass player changing to vocals thus giving a heavier vocal sound. 3 Tracks were recorded for a 6 way split cd which included bands such as DA CAPO/THIS SYSTEM KILLS/POUNDAFLESH/GURKHA AND BOMBBLASTMEN. The band then went on to tour Scotland. In May In The Shit were invited too play the Art Rock festival in ST Brieuc so a small 3 day tour of France were arranged , unfortunately due to circumstances Fletch the lead vocalist was unable to attend this tour so Paul, Mark and Mike sang vocals for the 3 days , an unplanned occurrence which seemed to actually work quite well . In Aug 2004 2 tracks were recorded for a split cd ep with Acao Direta for a forth coming tour of uk with the veteran Brazilian band which took an unfortunate twist as they were not aloud in the country.Some of the tour dates were played with In The Shit alone
