Back in the 70’s the british public was faced with the likes of the clash and the sex pistols (to name the two most obvious) but lurking away in the background was a band that are arguably just as important and memorable. Meet the damned, Brian James (guitar) captain sensible (bass) Rat scabies (drums) and Dave Vanian (vocals)

Almost 30 years on "damned damned damned" still manages to take the listener on a rollercoaster of a ride through the album. Rather than reaching the musical boundaries an simply pushing them a little, the damned climbed over and ran, the result was a fast-paced energetic album that clearly deserves to be up there with the classics.

The best tracks off the album (or rather my personal favourites) are "neat neat neat", "fan club", "see her tonight" and what went down as the first ever punk record to be released "new rose." Damned damned damned is a true punk-rock classic and is for anyone looking for a break from the punk rock rule book.
